Patriots Honor Volunteers During PreGame Ceremony at Gillette Stadium

The Patriots Charitable Foundation announced $85,000 in grants to 14 local nonprofits in honor of each Patriots Difference Maker named during the 2016 Celebrate Volunteerism initiative.

As part of their commitment to celebrating volunteers, the Foundation announced the "Patriots Difference Maker of the Week" award, which aimed to recognize one deserving volunteer who had gone above and beyond to give back to their community. Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft announced grants of $5,000 to 14 nonprofits in the name of each of the Patriots Difference Makers of the Week selected throughout the season.

"We know that the holidays are a time for giving so it’s exciting to have the opportunity to show our appreciation for these volunteers who generously give their time to those in need throughout the year," said Kraft. "This year’s Patriots Difference Makers are an incredibly dedicated and selfless group of people that have shown a genuine commitment to serving others. It was an honor to have met them and to be able to offer our support to the causes that are so near and dear to their hearts."
